Following the resounding success of the opening Crazy 5 Enduro on Sun 1st April, plus very positive feedback regarding interest from drivers, Coastal Raceway has decided to add ANOTHER ONE to the 2012 fixtures on Sun 13Th May! Roll on the Crazy 5 'Part 2'!
Following the usual format for our 'Crazy' Enduro Events, teams of up to 8 drivers (per team) will drive a single car non-stop around a specially prepared, extended track for 5 hours. The team who has completed the most laps during the allotted time wins the event!

 £3.00 Adults, £1.50 Children under 16

NO DEPOSIT REQUIRED! -  however we do require teams to BOOK IN by email.

BOOKING IN
Simply email  us your team name along with the names of your drivers taking part!

FORMAT
As already mentioned - complete as many laps as possible within the allotted time! The team who has chalked up the most laps wins the challenge! An unlimited amount of 'Pit Stops' are allowed for refueling and swapping of driver stints etc - how you decide to organise this is your call.

*NOTE 27/04/12* The following rule changes have been decided upon for the May Crazy 5:
- All glass and lights must be removed, with the exception of a single functioning brake light which must be retained, or added to the rear of the vehicle. This can be either a standard rear light cluster (one only), a standard rear window brake light (rear window MUST be completely removed), or an after-market red ‘fog lamp’ installed in the rear window aperture.
- If at all possible, the tow eye should be retained at the front of the vehicle to aid recovery of the vehicle in the event of a breakdown.
- No off road or 'M&S' style tyres are permitted - this includes road legal ones!

RULE CHANGES FOR 2012
There are a few changes to the rules for 2012. In a nutshell, here they are:

RWD CARS
RWD cars will be permitted to take part for the 2012 event, BUT! In the case of the car having to be repeatedly recovered by the Coastal Raceway staff, or if the vehicle is becoming a hazard to track / competitor safety (eg in slippery conditions) during the course of the event, Coastal Raceway reserves the right to withdraw the vehicle with no reimbursement of entrance fee to the team in question. Put simply, if you choose to enter a RWD car, you do so at your own risk!

AGE RESTRICTIONS
Any competent driver aged 16 and above can enter. Registered Coastal Raceway junior members aged 14 and above may also enter, but must be supervised by an adult aged 21 or over. The above applies for both drivers and navigators.

ROOF FINS
All vehicles must display a BLANK banger/grasstrack style number fin on the roof. At scrutineering, a number will be assigned to each team for lapscoring purposes during the event.

SCRUTINEERING
Scrutineering will start at approx 7.00am. Arrive EARLY or you may risk missing the start time and therefore lose out on laps! The event will start at 10am prompt.

CAMPING!
We regret that camping is not permitted at the track for this event. Anyone turning up on the Saturday evening hoping to camp will be turned away. However, there are plenty of campsites in the local area - a quick google search should provide options!

PRIZES
The winning team for 2012 will be awarded a trophy and will also win £100 - in other words, you'll win your entrance fee back!
