SAD NEWS
It is with regret that we have to announce the sad passing of Mavis Ledsham on Christmas eve. Mavis had been involved with the club for many years up until just a few seasons ago; most of the club members will remember Mavis working in race control as administrator and signing on clerk. On behalf of all staff and members at the club we would like to send our deepest condolences to the Ledsham family at this time. Mavis's funeral will be held at Llansannan church at 1.30pm on 4th Jan.

RACING IN 2012 : SPONSORSHIP REQUEST & AGM MEETING OVERVIEW
Thanks to all members who attended yesterdays AGM meeting. To those of you who didnt attend, here is a rundown of the main topic discussed:
MAIN SPONSORS NEEDED FOR 2012 SEASON
For racing at Coastal to be guaranteed for the 2012 season and beyond, the club requires additional sponsors for the 2012 season. The club can offer potential new sponsors one or more of the following:
- Permanent advertising Banner at the track for the 2012 season
- Advertising space in the 2012 Race Programmer (available at all meetings)
- Advertising space on the reverse side of Coastal Raceway flyers
- Race / Event sponsorship - have a title race or event named after your company.
For additional info, or to pledge interest in sponsoring the club in 2012, please email info@coastalraceway.co.uk
SHORTER SEASON IN 2012
The club proposes to run a shorter season in 2012, having fewer, but bigger, race meetings in an attempt to 'cut out' the less well subscribed (and financially unprofitable) meetings from the 2012 season. The club proposes a season 8-10 meetings long. The exact number is still to be finalised.
GRASSTRACK CLASS CHANGES FOR 2012
At the AGM last night the club announced plans for simplifying the structure of the Grasstrack Classes that race at Coastal. Put simply, we currently have too many Grasstrack classes which are low in car numbers making racing uncompetitive. The plan is to simplify the classes into 2 Junior Classes and 3 Adult Classes. More details including amended build rules will be added in due course, but here is the basic proposal:
JUNIORS
No change. Maintain the current Nov. Juniors and Juniors classes.
ADULTS
Streamline the current 7 Classes into 3 more competitive categories:
1. A Budget/Production Class with limited modifications allowed for fwd or rwd cars up to 1500cc with Honda Civics not permitted.
2. A FWD Class for cars 1500cc and over with Modifications permitted. (replacing Class 6)
3. A 'Supers' Class for RWD, 4WD and Mid Engined machines 1500cc and over with modifications permitted (replacing Class 3 and 7)
More details to follow!
PUSH & SPIN CHANGES
The club has proposed a change to the list of cars disqualified from use in the 1600cc Push & Spin Class. For 2012, Bluebirds will be permitted, while The Vauxhall Vectra will no longer to allowed. Ford Mondeos will continue to be disqualified from use.
JNR PUSH & SPIN
Following good support in 2011, The club proposes to make Jnr Push & Spin a regular class racing at every track-based meeting in 2012.

Update 12.10.11
SUN 2ND OCT - A GREAT END TO THE 2011 SEASON!
Apologies about the rather belated nature of this News update - But well done to Staff and drivers alike for their contribution to a great final meeting of the season at Coastal on Sun 2nd Oct. The meeting started on a sombre note with a minutes applause in memory of 78 David Weare, a Banger driver who sadly recently passed away in a race related incident at Hednesford Hills Raceway - a fitting tribute to a fellow racer. When racing got underway it didnt disappoint and Push & Spin was very lively and well subscribed with 20 cars racing and some great battles toward the final Championship points standings (Final season points to be posted up shortly!) and although the Bangers were a little shorter in numbers than we'd hoped, we still had some good action in the formula with battles going on between Team Paddy and the Abergelle lads. Class racing was also close - and Class 3 was spiced up somewhat by the inclusion of 252 Gareth 'Blobby' Griffiths mammoth 1960's Mk10 Jaguar which sounded glorious much to the crowd's approval. No less than 2 DD's brought the curtain on the 2011 season with the Push & Spin DD proving very lively with a great battle between 1 Chrissy Farrel and Coastal Pit Marshall Scott Moore in the Welsh Spinners Astra Van.
Final 2011 Points will be added to the website shortly.

Update 15.09.11
353 BUCKLEY DOMINATES THE WELSH OPEN!
Congratulations to 353 Dan Buckley, who stormed round the Coastal track last Sunday to take a very convincing Welsh Open victory in his Honda Civic, beating a field on 19 other racers in a very competitive race. Dan confirmed his dominance on the day by also winning the rest of the heats - which proved to be just as lively with drivers battling the changing conditions on the track with some superb racing by all. The DD winner was 79 Bobby Balls, in his indestructable Vauxhall Corsa, bringing a great meeting to an entertaining conclusion.
The Junior Push and Spin Welsh Open was taken by 547 Luke 'Whippy' Davies, which despite low numbers in this class, was nevertheless still entertaining to watch these up and coming Push and Spin Drivers demonstrating their growing skills.
Although Class car numbers were low this Sunday, competition was fierce in the battle to pick up as many points as possible towards the Season Championship which is now just one race meeting away from conclusion. Updated points will be added to the website in the coming days.
SUN 2ND OCTOBER. SEASON FINALE & 2 LTR BANGER WALES V ENGLAND.

The re-scheduled 2 Ltr Banger Wales V England race tops the bill. The 2 Ltr Bangers will also have an additional 2 heats, Final and DD on the day. While the Wales V England race is strictly a 10 on 10, the remaining races are open to all drivers! Book in now!

TEAM ENGLAND TAKE A HARD FOUGHT VICTORY
Well done to Team England who took a hard fought victory on a superb days racing at Coastal for The 1600cc Push & Spin Wales V England 20 on 20. Welsh Captain 353 Dan Buckley from Rhyl took 2 heat wins in his rapid Honda Civic, but ultimately heat wins from Liverpool's 149 Paul 'The Duck' Gore and a Semi-Final and Final win from the unstoppable 90 Gypsy Joe Holmes from Birmingham, helped Team England seal the victory and increase their tally to an overall series lead of 1-4, although 353 Buckley and Llandudno's 36 Rob Bennett put up a spirited performance whilst heavily outnumbered by Englishman in the Final. The superb DD was won by a battling performance from Rhyl's 013 Peter 'Herman' Jones.

Update 23.07.11
17.07.11 - WE MAY HAVE BEEN BETTER WITH BOATS!
A massive thank you to all the drivers who braved the appalling conditions on Sunday. Damp at first, it got progressively worse as the day went on and by the interval we had Horizontal rain. After consulting staff and drivers alike the general consensus was to wrap things up for the day.
However, those that did brave the rain certainly did all they could to give the spectators something spectacular to watch, The 'Old Boys' race was eventually won by visiting driver 880 Naisy who made the long trip down from Kilmarnock, Scotland to attend, with local duo 453 Lee Blakoe and 153 Shaun Buckley battling the mud to come 2nd and 3rd. The Second Heat and by default, final and DD was won by another visiting driver, 330 Daryl Wall from Durham.
The Unlimited Bangers were backed up by the usual Push and Spin and Class formulas, which despite the mud, put on a great display of skill and driving skills, with all drivers trying to keep the mud out of their eyes without letting off the pace. The staff at Coastal Raceway would also like to thank, Martin Pickford, who provided some fantastic photos of last meeting and to all the marshals who stood on the infield with the rain lashing down and who were prepared to continue, had the decision been made to continue racing past the interval.
Photos from the meeting can be found at Martin Pickfords site, www.no97.co.uk

Update 04.07.11
SUN 3RD JULY: HOW GOOD DID THOSE V6's SOUND?!!
Well I think its pretty fair to say that Coastal Raceway got well and truly back on top form with a fantastic meeting of Push & Spin and Grasstrack action yesterday! Heres a roundown of the days action courtesy of Assistant Chief Marshall, Chris Rich:
We thought this would be one of biggest meetings of the year, and no one was disappointed. With scorching heat, the pit area full to capacity and the largest turn out of spectators seen all season the stage was set for the best meet of the 2011 season so far - and it didnt disappoint. After a slight delay to the start time, racing soon got under way on a dry, if a little bumpy track. This gave rise to some fantastic racing from all the drivers in all the formulas, creating a great race day for spectators to watch. The Junior Push and Spin Championships was well turned out, with some very well presented cars and some great racing from these up and coming racers. Taking the first place was 141 Kieron Dutton, 2nd Place 547 'Whippy and 3rd 11 Lucy White. The Unlimited Push and Spin demonstrated some fantastic driving and entertainment for the day, with these large cars battling to pick up as many points as possible with 353 Dan Buckley taking the overall first place in the Volvo 940 Estate, 2nd Place to 453 Lee Blakcoe in the Mk2 Granada and 3rd Place to 252 Gareth 'Blobby' Griffiths in the Jaguar XJ6. 1600 Push and Spin was very lively with some great action on this very fast track, all the teams to pulled out all the stops to get their cars repaired between races and back out on the track, which is an outstanding effort. Push and Spin driver of the day was 172 Richard James. Junior Driver of the day went to 500 Keeley Farrell in her Citroen AX displaying some great driving and standing out from the rest of the class taking the chequered flag on a number of occasions. All the Staff at Coastal Raceway, would like to thank all the drivers, travelling and local for their support during this very busy race meeting and hope to see you all soon.
Updated points to appear in the coming days.

CRAZY 5 JUN 19TH - OFFICIAL STATEMENT
Following the unfortunate actions of certain individuals competing at July 19th's Crazy 5 Endurance meeting which regrettably resulted in the early closure of the event, Coastal Raceway would like to state real regret that a superb days action had to end prematurely and in such circumstances. Coastal Raceway aims to provide fun, safe, family friendly racing for competitors and spectators alike and takes any breach of this very seriously. Following an investigation into the incident, the individuals responsible have now received a lengthy ban from the Raceway. Behavior of the nature that was witnessed on the 19th June has no place at Coastal.

Update 07.05.11
A FUN DAY HAD BY ALL!
Well done to all drivers who attended the FUN DAY meeting on Sun 5TH June. While it is true to say that the car turnout was not as high as the previous meetings of this season, this was perhaps predictable due to the non-points scoring nature of the meeting. Nevertheless a great day was had by all. Here are some of the details:
- There was some great action and close racing in the Grasstrack Juniors formula (for 10-16yr olds) where some fantastic battles and close racing was seen from our reigning Junior Champ JC125 Sean Jones and rival CR34 Kyle Adams, both of whom were driving 1.1Ltr Citroen Ax's. Also worthy of note was the excellent performances of CR21 Morgan Purnell aged 11 and CR250 Jacob Lowe aged 12 who both moved up from the Novice Juniors Class and improved dramatically during the days racing, battling hard with each other in the process!
- The Adult Grasstrack Classes were grouped together for the day allowing cars/drivers who wouldn't normally race against each other a chance to pit their skills against each other. This created some very interesting battles, most noteworthy being CR34 Paul Adams in his agile Class1 Vauxhall Nova having some great battles with the more powerful Class 3 Ford Sierra's of 811 Nick Preater and lady driver 711 Karen Preater, with Paul (father of aforementioned junior Kyle Adams) actually managing a couple of race wins on the day, making it a great day racing for The Adams family! (pardon the pun haha)
- There was also plenty of action in the 1600cc Push&Spin formula with several visitors from Buxton Raceway joining us for the day. 226 Nathan Tate from Anglesey had a couple of race wins and was awarded the Push & Spin 'driver of the day' trophy, and Llandudno's 10 Brian Leary scored a very popular first ever victory in the formula in his Vauxhall Astra.
- The Ramp Rollover Event was a great success, with some spectacular daredevil rolls performed by the entrants in their specially strengthened cars. The event was won by 378 Jordan 'Lenny' Leonard from Preston, who barrell rolled his Ford Escort spectacularly, much to the delight of the crowd.
- As a little bit of extra fun in the race interval we had abit of a laugh with a children's 'tyre push' running race along the home straight of the race track - complete with full commentary and chequered flag finish!
NEXT UP - THE CRAZY 5 ENDURO! SUN 19TH JUNE!
Thats right, the Summer Crazy 5 is now just around the corner! For more details, CLICK HERE! At the time of writing there are still spaces up for grabs to take part in this one. Teams wishing to enter should email their TEAM NAME and LIST OF DRIVERS to info@coastalraceway.co.uk

Update 26.05.11
CRAZY 5 - SUN JUNE 19TH. NOW CHEAPER TO ENTER!
We have decided that as the 'Crazy' Enduro event on June 19th is now of a 5 hour duration instead of the 8 hour length of past events, it should be cheaper to enter! So instead of paying £150 per team to enter, you'll now pay £100! The info page has now been updated with the new details. Please note, as the entry fee is now cheaper, we have had to reduce the prize money proportionately, so providing we get a full complement of 25 teams entering, the winners will now recieve £300, second place £200, and third place £100. Click HERE to view more CRAZY 5 info!

Update 23.05.11
A DAY OF MIXED WEATHER AND MIXED FORTUNES!
Well done to all drivers who turned up to put on a show for the crowd in attendance on a day of sunshine and showers at Coastal Raceway yesterday. I think its pretty fair to say that our Banger turnout wasnt the biggest we've ever had, but the Class and Push & Spin drivers provided plenty of thrills and spills, and the 2(!) banger drivers that did turn up also did their best to entertain - and the common consensus was that a fun day was had by all! Well done to 79 Bobby Balls who brought a very nicely turned out car and dominated the Push & Spin class with it with two fine wins which will catapult him up the Championship Points standings.
Some photos of the meeting taken by Chelc Vickers can be viewed HERE
NEXT UP - THE 2011 FUN DAY! SUN 5TH JUNE!

Update 11.05.11
*IMPORTANT NOTICE!! PLEASE READ!*
AMENDMENT TO FIXTURE LIST!
There has been an important change to the 2011 fixture list. The 1600cc Push & Spin Eng V Wales 20 on 20, originally scheduled for Sun 5th June will now take place on Sun 31st July. This is due to unavoidable circumstances meaning several key members of staff are unable to attend the meeting on the original date. The 20 on 20 is possibly the biggest (and trickiest) event of the season when it comes to organisation, so we felt the only option was to find a more suitable date for the event where are full team of staff would be available. We apologise to drivers and spectators alike for any inconvenience this may cause, but we are confident that this is the correct cause of action to take to ensure a well run event. The 2011 FUN DAY will now take place on Sun June 5th, and in addition to the previously advertised content of the meeting, subject to interest we will be running VAN BANGERS! Any driver interested in racing Van Bangers on the day should contact us by EMAIL. Plans for the Fun Day also include Class passenger racing, Wheel Bender (opposite direction) races, and a Ramp Rollover event!
VAN BANGERS
Any 'walk through' Van allowed (ie no-car derived vans). No trucks, no pickups. Van must be built to normal Banger specs, although if it is not possible to fit a regular H Frame, a minimum of 1 acrow bar positioned centrally behind the drivers seat and securely bolted and plated top and bottom (4 bolts min) is permissible. Any driver who has any questions regarding build / eligibility of van etc should EMAIL us for confirmation rather than risk turning up and being disappointed!!
POINTS
Championship points from 1st May are now up!

153 BUCKLEY RETAINS WELSH OPEN TITLE!
Well done to 153 Shaun Buckley for successfully defending his Welsh Open title in the 2 Ltr Bangers on Sunday. 15 top drivers fought it out in a superb race which saw a 3 way fight in the final laps between 58 Mally Hughes, 252 Gareth 'Blobby' Griffiths and 153 Buckley, who took the victory with a last bend passing manoeuvre to win by inches from Hughes. The meeting also saw a great turnout in the 1600 Push & Spin class, which saw no less than 11 drivers from the Manchester Sharks team in attendance. We now have a 3 week gap until out next meeting, which will feature a new addition to our fixture list, the first ever 2 LTR BANGER PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIP. Individuals will be permitted to race, but we are encouraging drivers to team up if they can can!
1600 Push & Spin plus all Grasstrack Classes will also be on the bill.

COMING SOON (SUN JUNE 5th) - THE 1600cc PUSH & SPIN ENG V WALES 20 on 20!
Possibly Coastal Raceways biggest meeting of the season, The 1600cc Push & Spin 20 on 20, is now just over a month away! 123 RICHARDS WINS THE 'SHIFTER!
Well done to 123 Tom Richards who battled hard to take a well earned win in the 2011 Patshifter title race for 1400cc Bangers on Sunday. Richards, from Shrewsbury, surprised everyone with his pace on what was his debut at Coastal to fend off competition from the other 19 drivers competing in the 10 lap race on a fantastic opening track-based meeting of 2011 which saw a great turnout of over 20 cars in the 1600cc Push & Spin class, great action in the Grasstrack Classes and scorching weather to boot. We also had some great machinery on show, most notably the 1970's Austin Allegro of 181 Jordan Cadman in the bangers, the superb pair of Triumph Dolomites from the Tate brothers in Push & Spin, and a Triumph TR8 in Class 3! A great start to the season! Thanks to all who participated!
The points from Sundays racing will be online in the next few days.
NEXT MEETING SUN MAY 1ST!
Our next meeting is on Sun May 1st, which features the 2 Ltr Banger WELSH OPEN race, plus the opening round of the Jnr Push & Spin Welsh Championship, where Banger Racing's future stars will be competing for some great prizes upon completion of the 2 round series, which concludes in a series final on July 3rd.
Details of the prizes on offer for both championships will be published shortly!
1600cc Push & Spin and All Grasstrack Classes will also be in action on the day!

Update 06.04.11
A VERY WET CRAZY 8 KICKS OFF THE SEASON!
Well we finished off the 2010 season with a very wet crazy 8, and we've now started the 2011 season with...a very wet Crazy 8! Well done to all Teams and Staff alike who worked hard to produce an event which turned out to be very enjoyable for most despite the difficulties brought by the weather. The event was eventually won by Team MIB from Manchester, with The incredibles 2nd and The Idiots Abroad in 3rd. The 'Best Dressed Team' award also went to The Incredibles - quite literally a Super-Human effort guys! Well done you really looked the part.
THE CRAZY 8 HAS BECOME...THE CRAZY 5!
It has been decided by the Coastal raceway Comittee that all future 'Crazy' Endurance events starting with the planned event on June 19th will now be reduced to a 5 hour duration. We have come to the conclusion that although these events are very popular, the current format is just too long and is perhaps a little too much for drivers and staff alike. It has also been decided to make the following rule changes:
- The event is now open to FWD vehicles only. This is simply because RWD vehicles seem to consistently cause the greatest amount of damage to the track!
- All drivers / navigators must be aged 16 yrs or above.
The 'Crazy 5' rules pdf has now been updated and is available for download from the DRIVERINFO section of the site.
NEXT MEETING - SUN 17TH APRIL, THE 1400cc PATSHIFTER
Thats right, the opening track - based day of the season is now less than 2 wks away! This will feature the traditional opener of the 1400cc Bangers and the PATSHIFTER title race. Currently 14 Bangers are booked with plenty of time left for the numbers to increase further. Also on the bill is 1600cc Push & Spin and all Grasstrack Classes. All indications are that this will be a well subscribed meeting, so why not come along and join the fun?!
CLASS CHAMPIONS - GOLD ROOF REMINDER!
All 2010 Class points champions are reminded that they are entitled to paint a gold roof on their cars for the 2011 season! Go on! Show em who's the Daddy!

Update 03.03.11
WORK PARTY NEXT WEEKEND 12TH & 13TH MARCH
There will be a work party next weekend on Sat 12th and Sun 13th March. As the track area has been unsuitable for work to be carried out to it due to the weather, there is still much to be done to get the area ready for racing! Fence repairs, track tidying, Crazy 8 preparation etc all has to be carried out! All club members are encouraged to attend at least one day if at all possible!
With regards to the track itself, ditch clearing is due to start tomorrow, and that will be followed by work to the racing surface itself, so while we have been forced to leave things later than we hoped because of weather restrictions, things are now beginning to move!

Thanks to all who made the effort to attend the club meeting on Wed 9th Feb. MATERIALS NEEDED! CAN YOU HELP?!
The new season is approaching, and as always, the track, field and pit areas will need some maintenance work - and as always we're also hoping to improve the raceway infrastructure if possible. So! Can you help? Any donations of materials that could be used to improve the track area would be greatly received! This is the sort of thing we need:
- Fencing
- Suitable Posts and Chain to prevent track entry during racing
- Armco Barrier and Posts
If you feel you can help - please get in touch by email or by contacting the club phone number on 07845154643. We'd love to hear from you!
A work party will be arranged in the coming weeks to start getting the track area ready for the new season. We're just waiting for the whole area to dry sufficiently for work to be started. As soon as a firm date is decided upon - we'll let you know HERE!
ENGLAND V WALES 2LTR BANGER 10 ON 10. BELLE VUE STADIUM. SUN MAR 20TH.
Yep! the long awaited English leg of the Eng V Wales head to head for 2Ltr Bangers is now approaching. This is the final leg of last years series, which had to be postponed due to fixture problems at Belle Vue Stadium, Manchester. This will be a single head to head race which features on a bumper night of racing at the Manchester shaleway including The 2 Ltr banger KING OF THE NORTH event, plus the mighty BRISCA F1 and F2 Stock cars.
Drivers that raced for Wales at the home leg in 2010 get first refusal for this one, but at the time of writing some spaces are still available on the team. If you are interested in representing Wales for this one, email info@coastalraceway.co.uk and let us know!
NEW CLUB CONTACT NUMBER
As some of you may already know, Tim and Nes have decided to step down from their active role in club organisation this year due to increased responsibilities in other areas. Tim and Nes put in a titanic effort in running the club last season and the club will forever appreciate the efforts and improvements they were instrumental in making to the club. For 2011 The club's contact address will continue to be The Queens Arms, Rhyl, but we now have a new contact number, 07845154643. Danny and Hannah Edwards will be taking on office duties for the club in 2011. So a big thanks to them and good luck for 2011!

Update 06.12.10
2011 CLASS GENERAL CONSTRUCTION RULES NOW ONLINE
The 2011 Class rules are now available for download from the DRIVER INFO section of the website. As some of you may have already heard, there are one or two safety related changes to Grasstrack General Construction for 2011, and as such all drivers taking part in Class racing are encouraged to download a copy of the updated rules.
For reference, the changes are as follows:
ROLLCAGES
For the 2011 season all FRESHLY CONSTRUCTED vehicles across all Grasstrack Classes MUST have a roll cage of STEEL TUBE CONSTRUCTION using a minimum 1 3/8ins (34mm) OD 10swg (3mm) steel tube. NOTE: Previously raced vehicles (raced at Coastal Raceway or otherwise) with a box section roll cage will remain legal for the 2011 season. The 2012 season will require steel tube roll cage construction in all Grasstrack vehicles.
SAFETY HARNESSES
Safety Harnesses (4 point minimum) with 3ins (75mm) shoulder straps must be used across all adult grasstrack classes for the 2011 season. Harnesses with 2ins straps are still permitted in junior classes.
Harness lap straps must be anchored either directly to the rollcage or using the vehicles original structural seatbelt points. Shoulder straps must be anchored DIRECTLY TO THE ROLLCAGE - NOT the original rear seatbelt points. This is to prevent the straps becoming loose in the event of a rear end collision.
While we realise that rule changes of this nature are rarely greeted with a unanimously warm reception (initially at least), we want to stress that they are in the interests of DRIVER SAFETY, and that they will bring us in line with most other oval raceways in the UK. While we sympathise with drivers currently using 2ins straps, again we stress that the changes are for your own safety (particularly as Coastal does see the odd rollover), and there are some very good deals to be had if you search the internet carefully!

Update 05.12.10
FINALLY! AN UPDATE!
Thats right! Your eyes do not decieve you! At long last we have a website update! There is now just over 4 months to go before the start of the 2011 season and from now on you can expect to see some periodic updates HERE on the Coastal website as plans start to come together for the season ahead, with this being the first! Read on for some general club news - plus details of some Rule changes to be introduced in 2011. Also - expect to see the 2011 Fixture List within the next few weeks!
COASTAL BANGER TRIO PUT IN A HARD HITTING PERFORMANCE AT BIRMINGHAM!
Well done to Coastal Banger lads 153 Shaun Buckley, 353 Dan Buckley and 252 Gareth 'Blobby' Griffiths for a great collective performance representing the club at the 2010 Unlimited Banger Champion of Champions meeting at Birmingham Wheels Raceway on Sat Nov 27th. Dan and Shaun were in the main 'Champions Race' of the evening as Coastal's 2010 Points champ and 2010 Welsh Open Champ respectively, while 252 Gareth raced in the evenings support races. All 3 turned out very smart cars, while Dan's late shape V6 Mercedes E220 proved to be one of the star cars of the evening as only the second ever raced of that particular model.
The lads were in the thick of the action all evening, with 153 Shaun turning in a particularly strong performance in the DD, with his smart Mk2 Granada finishing up as one of the last cars running.
Check out www.matthowes.com for some photos of the evening. For a great movie clip of the evenings action courtesy of www.thunderpix.co.uk click HERE.
2011 BANGER / PUSH&SPIN / CRAZY 8 RULES NOW ONLINE!
The 2011 rules for Bangers, Push&Spin and Crazy 8 Enduro racing are now available online for download from the DRIVER INFO section of the website! All drivers planning to race in these formulas are encouraged to download a copy. While the 2011 Banger and Crazy 8 rules stay unchanged from last year, there are some key changes for the Push&Spin formula. They are as follows:
PUSH&SPIN - RADIATORS
For the 2011 season, drivers who choose NOT to use a Radiator Protection Bar may position their radiator anywhere within the engine bay from the first race of the meeting. However, if a Radiator Protection Bar is used, the Radiator MUST stay in its original position.
PUSH&SPIN - HARNESSES
For 2011, drivers are required to use a 4 point (minimum) harness WITH 3INS SHOULDER STRAPS. While this might cause some expense for drivers currently using 2ins straps, this rule change will bring the rules in line with many other oval racing tracks and we feel this is an essential change to make for driver safety.
2011 Rules for Grasstrack Classes will be available on line shortly.
2011 MEMBERSHIP FORMS NOW AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD
The 2011 Memebership Form is now available online for download from the DRIVER INFO section of the website. Please note that a full membership for 2011 will cost £30 and will entile the driver to discounted race fees throughout the season. While the membership has increased by £5, Coastal raceway is pleased to keep drivers 'pay on the day' race fees at the same rate as last year. CLICK HERE to download a form.
